Popular Ghanaian philanthropist, Nana Tea has once again demonstrated the power of community and compassion, by mobilising support for a struggling family in Ada following the birth of quadruplets.

Using his social media platform, Nana Tea called on the public to assist the parents, who recently welcomed four baby boys under financially challenging circumstances. The appeal quickly gained attention, drawing donations in cash and kind from individuals moved by the family’s situation.

According to Nana Tea, supporters contributed clothes, wipes and other essential baby items. Recognising the scale of responsibility that comes with caring for four infants at once, he personally purchased additional supplies to supplement the donations. In total, GH₵7,000 in cash was also raised and presented directly to the parents.

Sharing his experience after visiting the family, Nana Tea described the emotional moment he met the newborns for the first time. He noted their innocence and vulnerability, highlighting how unaware they are of the difficulties surrounding their early days.

He also spoke about the resilience of the parents, particularly the father, who works as a day labourer. The father’s income depends on the availability of daily work, creating uncertainty about whether he will earn money on any given day. With four newborns and another child to care for, the financial pressure on the household is immense.

Despite the challenges, Nana Tea revealed that the father did not complain during their conversation. Instead, he expressed a simple and practical request. He said that if he could acquire an aboboyaa, a motorised tricycle commonly used for commercial transport and carting goods, he would be able to work consistently and provide for his family.

Nana Tea emphasised that while the donations received so far have brought immediate relief, securing a tricycle for the father would create long term stability for the household. Such support, he indicated, would not only address present needs but also help change the family’s future.

He concluded by expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed, shared the appeal, offered prayers or showed concern. According to him, every act of kindness made a tangible difference in the lives of the parents and their children.

The initiative highlights the growing role of digital platforms in mobilising humanitarian support and reinforces the impact of collective action in addressing urgent social needs across the country.
