Mitch Brothers Transform the Lives of Three Kayayei With Complete Makeovers and Support
Popular twin brothers, widely known as the Mitch Brothers, have earned praise after organising a life changing experience for three kayayei as part of a compassionate social intervention.
The three women, who work tirelessly as head porters, often spend long hours catering to the needs of others and rarely have time to care for themselves. Prior to the intervention, they had never experienced a full professional makeover or enjoyed the services of a complete beauty team.
Determined to restore confidence and dignity, the Mitch Brothers treated the women to a day of care and relaxation at a beauty spa, where they received professional hair styling, nail care, and a complete makeover. The experience was designed not only to enhance their appearance, but also to uplift their spirits and remind them of their worth.
Following the makeover, the women were taken out for lunch, where they were treated to a relaxed and welcoming environment. In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Mitch Brothers also ensured that the women underwent breast cancer examinations, emphasising the importance of health education and preventive care.
Beyond the day’s activities, the twin brothers made several long-term commitments aimed at improving the women’s living conditions. They promised to provide them with a comfortable place to stay and offered an undisclosed amount of financial support to help strengthen their businesses and livelihoods.
Concerned about the welfare of the women’s children, who were not currently enrolled in school, the Mitch Brothers also pledged to support their education by ensuring they are enrolled and given the opportunity to learn.
The initiative has been widely applauded for its holistic approach, addressing not only immediate needs, but also long-term wellbeing. Through their actions, the Mitch Brothers have demonstrated how compassion, when paired with deliberate action, can create meaningful and lasting change.
