The inspiring journey of the three brilliant girls from Dodowa Newtown D/A Basic School has taken a significant step forward following public attention to their academic potential.

The girls recently met the Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Lawyer Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo, who engaged them in a motivating and heartfelt interaction.

During the meeting, Lawyer Tameklo shared his personal life story with the girls, encouraging them to dream big and remain focused on their education despite the challenges they face. His message underscored the importance of resilience and ambition, regardless of one’s background.

Touched by their determination and potential, the NPA CEO supported the girls with GH₵10,000 to aid their education. Before meeting them, he had donated GH₵ 3000 to the girls and their teacher. The donation is intended to help them acquire essential school items, including uniforms, bags, shoes, and other necessities for the academic term. He further assured the girls of his continued support as long as it concerns their educational development.

The attention that led to this intervention was sparked by popular Ghanaian social media influencer Nana Tea, who used his platform to spotlight the girls’ story. His efforts helped draw national attention to the academic brilliance found in less endowed schools.

Also deserving of recognition is Madam Deborah Crentsil, the teacher whose advocacy brought the girls’ situation to light. Her commitment to championing talented students from under-resourced schools continues to open doors to life-changing opportunities
