Christmas Beyond the Pulpit: Chief Alpharian Pastor Agyemang Elvis and Lady Mercy Bring Hope to Nsawam Prisons

Christmas is often marked by joy, warmth and celebration, but at its core, it is love in action. On Christmas Day 2025, while many families gathered around tables filled with laughter and comfort, Chief Alpharian Pastor Agyemang Elvis and his wife, Lady Mercy Agyemang-Elvis, chose a different expression of the season’s true meaning.
Through the Alpha Humanitarian Projects Initiative, a compassionate visit was paid to the Nsawam Prisons, reaching both the male and female wards. The visit was not merely with words of encouragement, but with tangible support. A truckload of food items, groceries and toiletries was delivered, alongside another truckload of Alpha Pac Natural Mineral Water and copies of Pastor Elvis’s books.
The move was a deliberate act of restoring dignity, affirming humanity, and reminding inmates, many of whom feel forgotten, that they are seen, valued and loved.
Notably, this outreach was not a one-off gesture driven by seasonal sentiment. Chief Alpharian, Pastor Agyemang Elvis and Lady Mercy have made this act of service a consistent commitment, undertaking similar humanitarian visits at least twice every year. Their return, year after year, is not motivated by public applause or recognition, but by a deep conviction that love must be lived out, especially in places where hope is scarce.
To some, the items delivered may simply appear as donations. To the men and women who received them, however, they represented hope, compassion and a powerful reassurance that God has not abandoned them.
